Shipping & Returns


To preserve chocolate's delicate nature, we only ship via Priority shipping methods to reduce transit time to 3 days or less. Sure, it costs more, but we want your chocolate to arrive in perfect condition. That's also why we only ship Monday – Wednesday so chocolate doesn't sit around in shipping over the weekend. If you order after 12pm on Wednesdays, your chocolate will ship on Monday the following week. When the weather is warmer, we include ice. 

Chocolate's delicate nature also makes International shipping even more expensive, especially for expedited service since we still have to ensure that chocolate spends as little time as possible in shipping (and there's no way to control the time it takes to get through customs). Receiver is responsible for any duties or taxes due. Nevertheless, when customers are willing to pay the higher prices (and for our chocolate they seem to be!) we've shipped to Canada, Europe, and even Japan!

Orders shipping within the U.S. will ship via USPS Priority Flat Rate mail -- therefore the more you can fit in a box, the more cost-effective the shipping:

  • 1st Class Envelope ($3) fits 1–2 bars
  • Small Flat Rate Box ($5) fits 3–4 bars
  • Medium Flat Rate Box ($11) fits up to 22 bars (or 2 boxes of 11)
  • Large Flat Rate Box ($15) fits up to 33 bars (or 3 boxes of 11)
  • orders of 4 boxes of 11 or more will ship via UPS 3-Day Select based on weight
If, in spite of our best efforts, your chocolate does arrive melted, we will replace it, for orders shipped within the U.S. only. We cannot guarantee the quality of orders shipped Internationally. Email us a photo of the damaged chocolate within 24 hours of arrival, along with the details of your order, and we'll send a replacement.


Returns Policy
